What Is Red Light Therapy & How Does It Work?
Red and near infrared light therapy is the process of using medical grade LED lights to deliver concentrated & specific wavelengths of light to our bodies. The cells in our bodies are able to absorb these specific wavelengths of light, using them to stimulate ATP production within the mitochondria which helps our cells produce more energy. When our cells have more energy, they are able to perform their cellular functions more efficiently and more effectively, which leads to numerous benefits of red and near infrared light therapy.

What’s The Difference Between Red And Near Infrared Light?
Both red and near infrared light are natural wavelengths of light which come from the sun and have been clinically proven to enhance cellular function. The main difference is that red light at 660nm only penetrates the body up to a depth of about 5-10mm and may contribute greatly to improved skin health and collagen production. Near infrared light at 850nm is invisible to the human eye and penetrates deeper into the body, between 50mm and 75mm, providing energetic and anti-inflammatory benefits.
We recommend doing treatments with both as the combination is perfect and irradiance measurements are based upon both wavelengths of light.
